I'm in the market to purchase a Vagabond 42'. I've been in touch with Allen Baird (Ryen's Quest) and Mike (Ka'imi) and now think I should join this site.

Geoff, Good luck looking - to help the group I think if anyone finds a serious fault on a survey or otherwise then its a good idea to let others know...for example I am a little concerned over chainplate corrosion as Stainless steel can corrode in an Anoxic environment such as Vagabonds as they are glass fibred in..and you can't see them and messy job to chop up to 'look'...and I have not had mine X-rayed to see their true condition...but I know this condition exists because in a certain 'surveying fibreglass boats book' it has a picture of a Vagabond's chainplates as an example...half the metal had gone! This is not common but can occur. (Will find book ISBN for all later..)
